I'm a typical laid back, manga-loving, dragon addict, d20 rolling, nerd that has convinced himself that he can do art when clearly my art is nothing more then stick figures. I have a small amount of artistic skill when it comes to putting things on paper, but have been told that I'm a master when coming up with ideas.

I'm the part-time owner of Eric-dono, a persona based off of my real self. The original creator is one of my friends that goes by Hasami-hime, who draws a comic titled "Scissors-Fu!". Originally based on her adventures in High School, it was only natural for some of her friends (my now ex-girlfriend and myself included) to appear in her comics from time to time. Over lunch we would look at any art she made, and throw out suggestions as to what next to draw. One example of an idea lead to the creation of my ex-girlfriend and my own character's birth. A ninja (that specialized in Paper-fu) & a magical girl (that specialized in Glitter-fu) joke based off of a comic we loved to read called "Megatokyo" by Fred Gallaghper. Since I was the one to point out the lackage of ninjas and magical girls, we got the honor.

And so Eric-dono was born. Meant as more of a mentor for the other characters (since I was the oldest and supposedly more experienced.) I was more of a gag character for when Hasami wanted Julia (the magical girl along with in comic and real life girlfriend) to 'glitterize' me. Glitter being one of my most disdainfully hated things to ever be created, gags always ensued.

After leaving for college for some reason I decided to adopt Dom from 'Megatokyo''s style of filler comics, along with advice column style format. Which brought upon "Ask Eric-dono", along with Julia for the ride since she gave me permission.

As much as I love to do "Ask Eric-dono" themed comics, I love other forms of art. I temporarily tried 3d renders, which quickly grew complicated as I wanted to do better works. I tried photoshop and web design classes. Photography was along my line of interest, but without a program to sharpen and better images that wasn't as compliant. MSpaint, a program most would rather forget, for some reason called out to me and that is where I've been. Occasionally I draw on paper, only to snap a photo and redraw on Paint later.

Despite my clear lack of art skills, I'm always interested in trying something slightly new occasionally. And so, now that I've been on Deviantart for a few years now I can see a clear change in the works. Keep your eyes open, for it can only get better as time goes on!
